The "Gold Rush" expedition by 3 young men in late November 1930 took them to an area west of the Blue Mountains, near Canowindra, where they spent the night in "the best hotel"!  The location of the "gold mine" which they were pegging out was on the road towards Woodstock, 4 miles fro Canowindra.
